While some destinations gain fame for all the wrong reasons, Sanqingshan remains a secret worth discovering. This UNESCO World Heritage site offers authentic trekking experiences far from the crowds—a place where every step rewards the mindful walker.
Sanqingshan (or Sanqing Mountains) is located in China's Jiangxi province, in the eastern part of the country. It is a tourist destination still relatively undiscovered even by the Chinese themselves, which translates into short queues, rare crowds, and only the occasional guide with a flag. A true luxury. Despite its beauty, Sanqingshan is overshadowed by the nearby Yellow Mountain / Huangshan and is therefore often overlooked. A great mistake.
