The data controller for personal data collected through cookies is:

Wayure Travel SL
Rúa Fernando III o Santo 32, 15701 Santiago de Compostela (A Coruña), Spain
VAT: ES B67844159 · Tour Operator Licence: XG-803

For any matter relating to the protection of personal data, including cookie management, you may contact us at the above address. We are not required to appoint a DPO under art. 37 GDPR, but we guarantee full availability to respond to data subjects' requests within 30 days.

02

What Cookies Are and Why We Use Them

Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user's device (computer, tablet, smartphone) during browsing. They may be set by the website itself (first-party cookies) or by external services integrated into the page (third-party cookies).

We use cookies to ensure the correct technical functioning of the website, to analyse browsing behaviour in aggregate form, to remember user preferences and, only with your explicit consent, for marketing and profiling purposes.

Minimisation principle: we collect only the data strictly necessary for the declared purpose. We do not use cookies for purposes incompatible with those indicated in this policy.

03

Strictly Necessary Technical Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function and do not require your consent, as they fall within the exception provided by art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Italian Privacy Code and recital 25 of the ePrivacy Directive. They cannot be disabled via the cookie panel without impairing navigation.

They include cookies that:

  • Maintain the session of the authenticated user;
  • Store consent preferences expressed on the cookie banner;
  • Ensure website security (CSRF protection);
  • Allow navigation between pages without losing cart or form content.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the controller (art. 6.1.f GDPR) and the consent exemption provided by the ePrivacy Directive.

04

Analytical Cookies

We use analytical tools to understand how users interact with the website: which pages are visited most frequently, where traffic comes from, how much time is spent on each section. The aim is to improve content and the browsing experience.

Tools used:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd): data are pseudonymised and IP addresses are anonymised. They are transferred to the USA with adequate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses). Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

These cookies are activated only with your explicit consent. You may revoke them at any time via the cookie panel or browser settings.

05

Functional Cookies

Functional cookies allow the website to remember choices made by the user, such as preferred language, currency or other customisations, in order to offer a more consistent browsing experience on subsequent visits.

These cookies do not track browsing on other websites and do not create advertising profiles. They are activated only with your consent.

06

Marketing and Profiling Cookies

These cookies are used to display advertisements relevant to the user's interests, both on our website and on third-party websites. They also allow the effectiveness of advertising campaigns to be measured.

Tools used:

Mandatory consent: these cookies are activated exclusively after your explicit, separate and informed consent, expressed via the cookie banner. Refusing them does not entail any limitation to browsing or the use of the website's services.

07

Below is a representative list of the main cookies in use. The complete and up-to-date list is available in the consent management panel.

08

The processing of data carried out via cookies is based on the following legal grounds under art. 6 GDPR:

  • Strictly necessary technical cookies: legitimate interest of the controller (art. 6.1.f GDPR) and exemption from the consent requirement under the ePrivacy Directive.
  • Analytical, functional and marketing cookies: explicit consent of the data subject (art. 6.1.a GDPR), collected via cookie banner before any activation. Consent may be freely withdrawn at any time without prejudice.
Failure to consent, or partial consent, to non-technical cookies does not entail any limitation on the enjoyment of the website's content or services.

09

Transfer of Data to Non-EU Countries

Some of the listed cookie providers (in particular Google LLC and Meta Platforms Inc.) are based in the United States. The transfer of data to third countries takes place in compliance with the safeguards provided for by arts. 44–49 GDPR, in particular through:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission;
  • EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of July 2023), in the case of certified providers.

You can verify the certification status of providers on the official EU–US Data Privacy Framework register.

10

You may modify or withdraw your preferences at any time, without any consequence on browsing, through the cookie management panel available at the bottom of every page of the website (link "Manage cookie preferences").

The panel allows you to:

  • Accept or refuse all categories of non-necessary cookies;
  • Customise choices category by category;
  • Revoke consent already given with immediate effect.
Important: withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal (art. 7.3 GDPR).

11

Managing Cookies via Browser Settings

As an alternative to the website panel, you can block or delete cookies directly from your browser settings. Please note that disabling all cookies may impair the correct functioning of some parts of the website.

You can also choose not to be tracked by Google Analytics via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

12

Cookies are distinguished by duration into two categories:

  • Session cookies: automatically deleted when the browser is closed. They leave no permanent traces on the device.
  • Persistent cookies: remain on the device until their natural expiry or until manually deleted by the user. The duration is indicated in the summary table in section 07.

In any case, we do not retain data collected through cookies for longer than strictly necessary for the declared purposes.

13

Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the right to exercise at any time, vis-à-vis the controller, the following rights provided for by arts. 15–22 GDPR:

  • Access (art. 15): obtain confirmation of processing and a copy of the data concerning you;
  • Rectification (art. 16): correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erasure (art. 17): request the deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • Restriction (art. 18): request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
  • Portability (art. 20): receive data in a structured format and transfer it to another controller;
  • Objection (art. 21): object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • Withdrawal of consent (art. 7.3): withdraw consent given at any time, without prejudice to prior processing.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. For Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. For Spain: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
