You walk. Every stay is booked one by one, luggage transfer is added if you want it, your credencial is ready and a phone number answers if anything goes wrong. It is called self-guided: full freedom, with the structure kept out of sight.
We are a Spanish tour operator founded by Italians, based in Santiago de Compostela: we have walked every itinerary above ourselves, more than once. Each one starts from a clear price you can see straight away; from there we build it around you, on your dates, at your pace, in the places you prefer.
If you already know which Camino is yours, choose it among the routes above. If you don't, that is our favourite part of the job: ten minutes on the phone and we work it out together. +39 391 75 13 937
Questions, the most common ones
What does an organised, self-guided Camino de Santiago include?
Nights in accommodation chosen one by one, your credencial, the roadbook with GPS tracks and direct support for the whole trip. Luggage transfer between stages can be added on request, so you walk with a light pack. Flights are not included: we help you find the right connection, with no mark-up.
How much does an organised Camino de Santiago cost?
With the Serenity line, our reference proposal, the last 100 km from Sarria start at €1,090 per person in a double room for 8 days. Longer routes grow with the days: the Coastal Portuguese Way from Porto, 15 days, from €1,955; the full French Way from Saint Jean Pied de Port, 36 days, from €4,480. On each route page you also find the Minimal and Essence lines, simpler and less expensive. Every itinerary shows its public price on its own page.
Does self-guided mean walking alone?
It means without a group and without a guide alongside, not alone. On the Camino you meet people from all over the world, and behind you there is our support, which always answers. About a third of those who leave with us walk solo, many on their first Camino.
Which Camino de Santiago should I choose for a first time?
The French Way from Sarria is the classic: proven services, perfect waymarking, the international community of the Camino. Those who want more quiet choose the Portuguese Way from Tui; those who want the ocean, the Coastal variant. If in doubt, a ten-minute call is enough to work it out together.
How many days does the Camino de Santiago take?
It depends on where you start: the last 100 km take 8 days of travel, the Portuguese Way from Porto 12 to 15, the full French Way from Saint Jean Pied de Port about 5 weeks, which can also be split over several years, one section at a time.
When is the best time for the Camino de Santiago?
From April to October. May, June and September are the best months: long days, mild weather, fewer crowds than July and August. With free departure dates you choose the day: there are no groups to wait for.
Do all your itineraries qualify for the Compostela?
With all those that cover at least the last 100 km on foot: from Sarria, Tui, Vigo, Ferrol, Lugo and of course with every full route. You need two stamps a day on the credencial, which is included and which we explain how to use.
How do I book, and how far in advance?
Choose the itinerary, set your dates and preferences and receive the proposal. For high season (May to September) it pays to move 2 to 3 months ahead: the best places on the stages go early. Last minute you can almost always still leave, with a few adjustments.
