Nous avons parcouru de nombreux chemins, mais l'expérience du Camino Primitivo reste merveilleuse, en venant du Camino del Norte jusqu'à Santiago de Compostela

Si je dois choisir un mot pour décrire notre expérience sur le Camino Primitivo, ce serait définitivement ENCHANTEUR.

Il est facile de dire que les falaises du Camino del Norte sont spectaculaires, facile de tomber amoureux des longues mesetas du Camino Francés.

Le Camino Primitivo est très exigeant, c'est vrai, une succession de montées et de descentes, très peu de tronçons plats pour te donner un répit, mais il te conquiert par une nature intacte véritablement magique.

On marche principalement au milieu de forêts, pâturages et petits villages qui vivent essentiellement d'élevage et d'agriculture. Et en marchant, on découvre une vie très simple autour de soi, dictée par un mode de vie essentiel.

Ruta de los Hospitales, la plus belle expérience du Camino Primitivo

L'étape qui a le plus marqué notre expérience du Camino Primitivo est la célèbre Ruta de los Hospitales, un tronçon de 15 km complètement immergé dans les montagnes, loin de toute forme de civilisation, presque entièrement en crête à environ 1200 mètres d'altitude.

Ce jour-là, les conditions météorologiques n'étaient pas celles que nous aurions souhaitées ou auxquelles nous nous serions attendus. La pluie et le vent incessants ont rendu l'étape plus difficile, mais certainement pas moins belle ; en fait, c'est peut-être précisément l'avoir vécue ainsi qui l'a rendue si émouvante et mémorable.

En chemin, nous avons pu voir les vestiges des trois hospitales qui, à l'époque ancienne, accueillaient les pèlerins se dirigeant vers Santiago. Penser qu'autrefois les pèlerins traversaient ce tronçon dans des conditions encore pires et que les seuls abris étaient ces petites cabanes en pierre, eh bien, cela nous a permis de nous rapprocher, ne serait-ce que légèrement, de la vie des pèlerins « authentiques ».

Sur ces tronçons de chemin, dans le néant absolu, tu te sens vraiment tout petit face à l'immensité de la nature, face à l'imposance de la pluie et du vent, qui auraient pu nous laisser respirer, mais en vain. En réalité, ce n'est que pendant les 5 derniers kilomètres qu'ils l'ont fait.

Malgré tout, je crois que c'a été quand même l'une des plus belles étapes de tous les chemins que nous avons parcourus !!!

La Galice, une perspective nouvelle comparée au Camino Francés

La Galice vue d'ici, par ces sentiers, est une autre belle expérience sur le Camino Primitivo. C'est une Galice différente du Camino Francés, moins boisée et plate, mais toujours en altitude. De nombreux levers de soleil entourés de parcs éoliens et de paysages qui les rendaient spectaculaires !

Le tout accompagné d'un grand silence. Les auberges étaient toujours remplies de pèlerins, mais aucun d'eux ne te « dérangeait » en chemin, chacun avait son propre espace pour marcher, penser, s'émerveiller...

Ce n'est que dans les dernières étapes, où le Camino Primitivo se rejoint avec le chemin français, qu'on perd un peu la magie, car la foule, la confusion et la popularité du chemin français portent atteinte, et non sans mal, à la paix et à la magie auxquelles le chemin nous avait habitués.
